Our story
The 167 Challenge: In Memory of Andy Wilding Every year, approximately 395,000 people are diagnosed with cancer in the UK. Tragically, around 167,000 lose their fight with this devastating disease annually. Like so many, I’ve witnessed cancer’s painful impact on the lives of friends and family. Most recently, I lost a dear friend, Andy Wilding, who was only a few years older than me. His passing has left a lasting mark—and inspired me to take action. Introducing: The 167 Challenge In Andy’s name, I’ve created The 167 Challenge, a personal triathlon designed to honour his memory and raise vital funds for cancer research. The challenge will take place on 1st August 2025, and consists of: • 1.67 km Swim • 167 km Bike Ride • 16.7 km Run Every kilometre is a tribute to the 167,000 lives lost each year—a reminder of why this cause matters. How You Can Help If you’d like to support this challenge and contribute to cancer research, your donation would mean the world. Every contribution brings us one step closer to better treatments, and ultimately, a cure. Thank you for reading, and for standing with me in this fight. — Paul Stevens
