Total raised

£23,958.57

+ £4,101.38 Gift Aid

We're headed to India to take on an epic challenge, trekking the Himalayas and helping beat bowel cancer!

Our story

The Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up to continue the incredible legacy of Dame Deborah James. Deborah was a teacher, who at age 35 was diagnosed with incurable bowel cancer. She became a social media influencer and bowel cancer campaigner, passionate about raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer, and fundraising for cancer research. Deborah established the Bowelbabe Fund before she died from her bowel cancer in 2022, aged 40. Team Bowelbabe is continuing Deborah's spirit of rebellious hope, and taking on the Himalayan Trek in March 2026. We want to raise as much money as possible, so please donate to support us. You'll be helping to fund cutting-edge research into early detection and personalised medicine, raise awareness, and tackle the stigmas around cancer with unflinching honesty so we can give more people affected by cancer more time with the people they love. Thank you.
