Our story
Last year Cancer Research UK had a tough year due to the pandemic. Cancer has not gone away despite fewer cases being reported. Here at Roadchef we are fully committed to raise money this year to continue the fight against cancer. In the South West we decided that extreme action was called for, so we'll be cycling from London to Paris in September. Rob Perry, Paul Hutson, Gary Lumsden and Mark Jones will take on this huge challenge. It is fair to say, with the exception of Mark, we are not cyclists. Three of us didn't even own a road bike at the start of the year, so cycling the 435km from London to Paris will definitely be a challenge. Each of us have our own reasons for taking on this task, and that is certainly not so that we can wear a pair of lycra shorts and t-shirt. We have committed to give our all to make sure we are ready, putting in the hours come rain or shine between now and September this year when we will undertake probably the most physical challenge of our lives.
