Supporting Cancer Research UK – Together We Are Beating Cancer

Our story

Through fundraising and giving back, embedding sustainability into our culture and driving change for good, we’re passionate about making a difference with a view to building a legacy for the future. We’re delighted that our Charity of Choice for 2025 – as voted by our colleagues – is Cancer Research UK! The charity will benefit from all groupwide fundraising efforts throughout the year, and from key fundraising activities such as Markerstudy Day. We’re kickstarting our fundraising efforts with our 2025 Charity Challenge! On Friday 6 June, 80 Markerstudy Group volunteers will take on a ‘Mammoth’ (20 mile) hike along the Jurassic Coast, which includes the famous ‘Rollercoaster’ terrain. Each participant will be training – and fundraising – between now and June, with additional support from colleagues who’ll take part in our at-home challenge to help to top up the fun and the fundraising total! Our first steps to fundraising (and hiking!) are underway, and we’re excited to see how our colleagues will unite this year to help Cancer Research UK with their mission to beat Cancer. From sky dives to triathlons, we’ve previously shown grit, a willingness to step outside our comfort zone, and a zest for teamworking, to support good causes. And we’ll be cheering on all those who get involved to help us raise as much money as possible this year! Every donation counts, and the more we can raise together, the more we can help Cancer Research UK with their life-saving work!
