Funding Life-Saving Research in East Anglia

Our story

Unite with us for World Cancer Day on 4th February 2020 by hosting a Coffee Morning in aid of Cancer Research UK. Every day, around 90 people in the East of England will hear the words ‘you have cancer’. The funds you raise will help support vital research happening in Cambridge, into the toughest to treat cancers, where survival rates have remained stubbornly low for decades. Cambridge is home to the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute and the Cambridge Centre – which both deliver world-leading research that accelerates the transition of lab-based discovery to the clinic. For example, in Cambridge right now, scientists are working to predict who is at high risk of developing cancer, they are investigating how pancreatic cancer begins and they’re helping more children survive brain tumours. Your fundraising will help to save lives and keep families together for longer in East Anglia and across the UK.
