Elite AFC Supporting Cancer Research UK

Our story

At Elite AFC we firmly believe in using the power of football and its supporting community to help spread awareness and raise vital funds for charities close to our hearts. Having worked with and supported Andys Man Club in our last two seasons we wanted to partner with another amazing charity and there was no doubt that Cancer Research UK was the outstanding candidate. Cancer affects nearly everyone, directly or indirectly and is a leading cause of death worldwide, and raising awareness is crucial for early detection and prevention. Cancer Research UK’s mission to reduce cancer incidence and improve patient outcomes through research and education is something we wanted to be part of, and we believe clubs, players and staff can act as powerful ambassadors for the cause, using their platforms to advocate for cancer awareness and research. By displaying the Cancer Research UK logo on our shirts, the football club will use its reach to spread awareness amongst players, fans and the broader public. The Cancer Research UK logo will be prominently displayed on the club’s away shirt next season and seasons beyond, visible in all away matches and media appearances, ensuring maximum visibility and association with the cause. Football clubs have passionate fanbases and with their help with fundraising efforts throughout the season, such as charity matches, fundraising events, donation buckets, we hope to support Cancer Research UK’s funding needs, propelling critical research and innovations in cancer treatment. We have also pledged a donation for every away goal scored this season The club are excited to be supporting Cancer Research UK and look forward to raising much needed funds throughout the season.
