Our story
Will Wise, a stage 4 cancer patient and Media Ambassador for Cancer Research UK, founded #CancerBae to change the stigma associated with cancer. Since his diagnosis in January 2023, Will has been on a mission to show that living with cancer is about hope, love, and community. The CancerBae Classic embodies this mission, combining sportsmanship with a cause close to many hearts. Organized by former professional basketball player and current coach Will Wise, the CancerBae Classic brings together elite U12 basketball teams from across the UK for a weekend of thrilling competition. But this event is about more than just basketball – it's a powerful initiative to raise awareness and funds for CancerBae CIC and Cancer Research UK.
