Our story

The course of flat road hard surfaces, meanders through picturesque Somerset & attracts up to 1000 runners Bridgwater Half Marathon, organised by Cancer Research UK Bridgwater Friends, will be held again this year on Sunday 2rd September 2018. The event will start at 11am from Morganians RFC which is race HQ, leaving the RFC the route will meander through the picturesque Somerset countryside through Chedzoy & Stawell before returning to the Rugby Ground. The course is almost entirely road and hard surfaces and is very flat so is a fantastic personal best opportunity. The event which is now in its fifth year is hoping to attract 1000 runners. If the half marathon is a little too energetic why not take part in the Bridgwater 10K or 5K Fun Run, starting at 11.15 am. Under 18's will need to contact the organisers on -'contact@bridgwaterhalfmarathon.co.uk' to find out how to register. This run is open to all ages (youngsters must be accompanied by an adult). Serious runners, joggers or walkers can all enjoy this event. Why not enter a Team, Group or just bring yourself and meet new friends, fancy dress is very welcome.
