Yin, Millie and Daisy x ———————————————- This Sunday, my daughters and I will be doing the Tesco Race for life for Cancer Research 5k Walk. It will be their very first 5k challenge. I will be such a proud mum with my girls (age 7 and 11) walking beside me! This is something that would have been unimaginable only a short time ago but here I am, about to take part in a 5k challenge with my daughters. Together we will do our bit to try and help others affected by this terrible disease. As most of you know, it has been a challenging couple of years for me and my family but we remain optimistic and focusing on moving forward in a positive direction and hopeful that my cancer remains in remission. Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life raises money for research into all 200 types of cancer. Their groundbreaking research is finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. But every step they make towards beating cancer relies on every pound donated by you. Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
