Story
The Year 6 class at Park House Primary School would like to tell you about their friend Will..... Will D (as he is affectionately known to his friends) is one of THE bravest boys we know. Almost 18 months ago Will was diagnosed with ALD, he became really poorly and wasn’t at school much. Will has now lost his sight and his legs aren’t working very good at times. We miss Will lots and really love it when he comes in to visit us at school. He has a really cool wheelchair! We wanted to show just how proud we are of our friend Will D! He is brave, kind, funny and a WARRIOR! He isn’t letting ALD win! We, as a class are running Pretty Muddy for Will and others who we love that have been effected by these horrible diseases. We are raising money for Cancer reasearch as well as ALD Life because WE hate these illnesses and we want to help find a cure by raising as much money as we can. PLEASE help by sponsoring our group! ALD is a genetic disease that effects 1 in 18000 people. It is a brain disorder that destroys the myelin, the protective sheath that surrounds the brains neurons - the nerve cells that allow us to think and control our muscles. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. WE LOVE YOU WILL - D From all of your year 6 class mates at Park House Primary School
