Story
This special group of friends would like to tell you why they’re taking part in Pretty Muddy 2020...... We are “Will Ds Warriors” Will is our friend, he was diagnosed with ALD (a genetic brain disorder that that destroys the myelin, the protective stealth that surrounds the brains neurons) just over 2 years ago. Last year we decided to run our first Pretty Muddy, it was our last year together as a year 6 class (aged 11) and we wanted to do something as a group to help raise awareness of this awful disease and also money for two great charities too. This year we have moved on to our new secondary schools, but we never forget about Will. To us, he is still our friend who we grew up with at primary school, made memories with and had happy times. He is the THE bravest boy we know and we love him very much. Although we sometimes feel sad about what is happening to Will, we know that he loves to hear stories about what we are doing and I’m sure he is very proud of us all for doing something special and important like this. This year we will all run together again, we won’t let these awful diseases win! #Alextlc.org #cancerresearchuk Cancer is happening right now, which is why we’re taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
