Story
Cancer has touched each one of our lives. Don was diagnosed with prostate cancer 5 years ago and thankfully he has come out the other side. He came through it with sheer will and determination, the support of his family around him and the care of the health service. Bev's nephew at the age of 5yrs was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Seeing my sister and her partner, and my mum go through this is heart breaking. However, he is now aged 15 and has been on remission for a number of years. He is still supported by the health service having MRI scans regularly. Julie lost a boob to breast cancer in 2014, bit of a tough trot, could not have done it without the support of my wonderful family, marvellous friends and the fabulous team at the Woodlands at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, Huntington. Cancer touches so many, many lives. Progress towards a cure is a long journey. The treatment received by each of all three people described above was only possible because of research funded in part by this charity. Together we can make sure that those who meet cancer in the future get even more effective treatments and support.
