Story
In 2015 our mum Vicky was diagnosed with breast cancer. Alice and I ran, or in my case went for a casual stroll around stoke park and we raised £1,500 for cancer research. Since then, my fiancée had been diagnosed with non-hogkin lymphoma. The treatment my mum and partner received was priceless. From the chemotherapy and radiotherapy nurses, doctors, consultants even the tea ladies who made sure we were all topped up with tea. I personally can't thank cancer research UK, Macmillian and especially the teenage cancer trust enough for the support they given to me and my family. The care mum and my finacee received was second to none, they truly shone a light through the darkest of days. I'm glad to say that they are both in remission, all because of the care they received. We all know that funding is being cut for the NHS so fundraising is needed more than ever. So, we thought what better way than to help then do the mud run. Not sure what we're thinking because if you know us, the 3 of us are massive clean freaks. Blame our mum!! Help us beat our target, we want to beat £1500 and get to £2000 and would love any support and donations. Unfortunately we all know someone who has been affected by cancer and it's time for us to stand up and beat it!!! Thank you in advance, Vicky, Lucy and Alice.
