It's been an emotional roller coaster since diagnosis with breast cancer 6 years ago followed by a gruelling year of treatment -chemotherapy,hair loss, surgery, radiotherapy and then the post treatment limbo. I've realised that the quote 'you don't know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have' has been my motto. Although the big 'C' no longer lurks in my body it has left behind both physical and emotional scars. My family, especially my husband and children, and my friends have been my rock during the times when I have lost sight of this motto. The professional care and support I have received has been amazing which is why it is vital to keep donating.
