The Mucky Maidens are getting down and (very) dirty for Cancer Research! For those of you who know us ladies, we're more at home enjoying a glass of wine and sharing a gossip and a giggle in the Maiden's Head pub. On July 14th, we'll be well and truly out of out comfort zone - crawling through mud, climbing over obstacles, generally getting in a right state (sssh - don't tell Lesley there'll be mud - and LOTS of it!) - all to raise money for Cancer Research. New research states that 1 in 2 people will develop cancer at some point in their lives. That's an increase on recent research that previously claimed 1 in 3 of us would be effected. Scary stuff... That's not even taking in to consideration those who's lives have been changed forever by loved ones that have developed this terrible disease.
