Story
We are wanting to do the race of life as last year we lost our nanna and our uncle within 9 weeks of each other. (Mother and son) from cancer. Uncle Ian had Mesothelioma he fought long and hard but unfortunately lost his battle on Friday the 25th August 2017. Nanna June also found out that she had bowel cancer which then spread onto her liver she lost her fight 9 weeks after her son on the 29th of October 2017. Both very much loved and missed. We want to do this in their memory and to raise money for cancer research! The hospice where my uncle died was amazing for him and his wife while he was there and the care he had throughout. My nanna didn't really get to go to the hospice much for the days they do to get them out each week as she was always to tired, but when she did go she enjoyed making things. They also give support and days for family and careers and continue that support for when the family member has gone.
