Story
Many of you knew my Gran (Niamh's Great Granny) Agnes Baxter. She was an amazing woman and a massive influence in our lives. We were devastated in November 2014 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer of the bile duct that had spread to her gall bladder and liver. Unfortunately for her and us there was no treatment that they could offer that would prolong her life and she very peacefully passed away 11 weeks later. This isn't the case for everyone though and thanks to research there are treatments to help and even cure people's illnesses but more has to be done! Fundraising efforts have taken a massive hit this past year because of the ongoing pandemic which is why now more than ever it's critical we raise funds so that research into cancer treatments can continue and in turn save more lives. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Please help Niamh & I by donating as much or as little as you can. Every penny really does count. Thank you!
