Hi there! Thank you for taking the time to visit the ‘Team Iris’ funding page. This year I’ve decided to do something different in memory of my loving mother; who many of you know as Alice or Iris. She sadly left us on 19th October 2007 after a very courageous cancer battle that started in 2000. I’ve recently started working in Breast Cancer Research which has led me to certain realisations about what amazing will power my Mum had to cope with her cancer that metastasised in many places including the lungs, liver, bones, brain, abdomen and ovaries. I look up to her every day and it gives me strength. In honour of her, all women fighting or who have fought breast cancer and anyone going through any form of cancer, I’ve decided to take part in the ‘10K Cancer Research Shine Night Walk’ in Leicester in order to raise funds for Cancer Research. I truly hope to see the day where all cancers can be cured. Until then, all we can all do is keep faith and continue to support life-changing research to better the lives of others everywhere and their loved ones.
