Story
In January 2019 our friend, brother and hero, Danny De Brabander got news he never expected. He was diagnosed with bowel cancer that had spread to his liver. Danny had every reason to feel angry, downhearted and victimised. Not a bit of it. 'Positive attitude' doesn't come close to describing the manner in which he has approached his cancer. Danny's made it his personal mission to raise awareness of bowel cancer, especially in young people. And he's succeeding. Through fundingraising and educational events, newspaper articles, social media and business networks, he's educating people about his lived experience of bowel cancer. Danny has had bowel surgery and currently awaits a date for a liver operation. His positivity is inspiring, so TEAM DDB will be Racing For Life this June. Please support us. If you are experiencing any symptoms, please go to see your GP and follow through on any tests they recommend. It could save your life! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
