We're raising as much as we can to beat cancer

Story

I (Fliss Pitts) wanted to encourage as many staff members and children of Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy as possible to take part in pretty muddy race for life to raise money for such an important cause. Sadly my cousin (who is more like a sister) was diagnosed with terminal cancer in March 2025 after having already been in remission the previous year. She is 40 and has a 3 year old and a 5 year old. It's heartbreaking. Karen Wardhaugh a much loved member of the community (and former staff memeber) has also been given an incurable diagnosis and Louie Pickles a former pupil has also spent far too much of his childhood in and out of hospital battling cancer too. We know there are many more stories out there like this so please help us to raise as much as we can!
