We're raising as much as we can to beat cancer. Together we can beat this, no one should go alone through cancer treatment.

Story

Earlier this year I (Angelique )found a lump on my Thyroid. I saw a specialist and it was found that it is Papillary Thyroid Cancer. I was told she would need surgery to remove the lump and any lymph nodes that were infected with the cancer and then have Radio Active Iodine Therapy. I have had the operation to remove the whole thyroid and lymph node that were surrounding her thyroid. The operation lasted six hours and they removed my entire thyroid and 23 lymph node, which 13 were cancerous. I had a set back a week after surgery when a pulmonary embolisms went through my lung, I had a week stay in hospital to assist with the recovery and dissolving the clots in my left lung. I am now steadily recovering with the help and support of my friends and family.

I am awaiting to see the oncologist for he next stage in treatment. I will need to have Radioactive Iodine Treatment in the near future.

All of this would not be possible unless there was research about my type of cancer and the treatment needed to help get rid of it.

It's only by the grace of God that I caught the lump early and have been able to recover as well as I have. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me - Philippians 3 vs 13.

We will be walking 5km as a family during the mouth in split intervals as I am not able to walk the whole 5km just yet.

Thank you so much for supporting the cause!
