I never thought I would see they day when so many of my relatives and friends were effected by cancer. It feels so cruel and unfair - thankfully my husbands mum is in remission but others I care about are not so lucky and still battling or have it pains me to say lost their battle. It is the worst feeling in the world to know there's really nothing you can do... but doing Race for Life feels like something - something to make a difference to not just for one person but for many - to stand up to this horrible thing together.
