Story
One day our mum found a lump in her stomach and so she went to the doctors, after a few trips back and forth she finally got diagnosed with cancer. Mum got diagnosed in February 2008 and she battled for months and was always brave taking everything that was thrown at her. On the 3rd October 2008 she lost her battle to cancer and passed away of a rare type of cancer called Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumour. Leading up to this day we had lots of help and support from the St Lukes Hospice who helped our mum live her last days in peace and comfort. They gave me and my sisters all the help and support we needed to help us understand what she was going through and I couldn't of asked for a better place and better people to look after her. We want to raise money to help cure all cancers and help save the lives of people like our mum and so that other families don't have to go through what we did. Hopefully one day we will stop cancer for good.
