Story
Cancer has hit our family hard over the last couple of years. Our Dad/ Grandad (Daren) was Diagnosed with Advanced, Aggressive Oesophageal Cancer in May 2020, and was intially advised that without treatment he would be lucky to survive 4 months, with treatment his life expectancy could be extended to approximately 1 year. Now Almost 4 years later Dad is an example of the brilliant outcome of Cancer Research and what the new treatments can do. Sadly, we lost our Uncle Mark after his brief battle with Cancer in May 2021. Our Cousins John, Colin and Kirsty have also experienced their own battles with Cancer recently so as a family we want to recognise the hard work and dedication that goes in to fighting this disease, not only by the medical profession, but by those who have survived, continue to fight, and who have lost their lives to Cancer.. Will you join us in raising money to continue this Fight ..... Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
