Janet, Vikki and Sarah met for the first time in September 2020 at the Jog Scotland Denny couch to 5k group. They achieved their goal of running a 5k together along with others in December 2020. It was emotional for all joggers and a milestone in what had been a very challenging year for everyone no more so than Sarah. Sarah was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in June 2020. She had her operation to remove the lump and commenced intensive radiotherapy in the September. To help prepare herself mentally and physically for the next step in her challenge to fight cancer she joined the Couch 2 5k JOG Scotland Denny Group and with the support of her family, friends old and the new from the JS Denny group she got through the treatment and all is good. The Denny Dawdlers are running to raise money for Cancer Research UK in the Stirling Race for Life 10k on 22 August. This will be our first 10k. 🙈🙉🙊..... we are a bit behind schedule with training but WILL do this together for everyone who has and may have to battle this disease. Thanks for your support.
