You never think it will happen to you do you? Religiously booked my smears, have my check then put it to the back of my mind until the next letter three years later. Last year was a different story. In three short years I had progressed from being healthy to developing cervical cancer. Nothing can prepare you for the physical, mental and emotional journey you go through, but I was one of the lucky ones. They caught mine early enough to treat. I am now one check up clear with my next booked for a few weeks time 💪🏽 thanks to our wonderful NHS and the support of my amazing family and friends. This will impact 1 in 2 people in your life.
