Story
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lifetime. When you put this statistic into perspective, that’s the equivalent of every husband or wife, 1 of every 2 siblings, 1 of every 2 parents. As a family, we have had to sit through two cancer diagnoses within the past eight months. First, my mum was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer in November 2018. And then I was diagnosed with malignant melanoma this March. Initially, I had decided to run Race For Life for my mum, before going on to receive my own diagnosis. My perspective on cancer has changed drastically over the past 8 months, since our story began, and I now race not only for me and my mum, but for everyone who has faced or is facing this vile disease. ❤️
