We have put our heads together and decided that we want to put ourselves through a 5K muddy experience to raise money for charity! We are not exactly running enthusiasts but it is definitely for a fantastic cause. After being diagnosed with Cancer at a young age Louise owes her life to the Doctors that cleared her and we understand the importance of organisations such as Cancer Research and all the help they do. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime and like many others we can name over ten people near us, in each of our lives that have had it, some that won the battle and some who didn’t. Even though Louise is a very inexperienced runner she is doing this for everyone who has fought, currently fighting and may one day fight Cancer. Louise will also be doing this in memory of her Father's Mother Dorothy Warr and her Mother’s Father Ray Stone, two wonderful people who she never got to build incredible memories with due to this horrible disease. Everyone is affected by cancer, whether personally or by knowing someone who has had it. Emily's Grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer, her Grandad Bill with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and her Grandad Billy with Mysothelioma. For Emily, her grandparents are a source of much inspiration for the lives they led. They were incredibly strong minded and amazing people and she misses them every day. She Hope's that the money raised with this run will go towards helping find cures so no one else suffers, but also so that we can have longer with our loved ones creating amazing memories. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives.
