Story
Cancer has had a personal affect on me from birth. It started with being named after my grandmother who died from ovarian cancer, to losing my mum to Breast Cancer 40 years ago. Treatment was different then and survival was more challenging, but thanks to all the hard work by the medics and researchers and all the really kind and generous donations by people like you, things have improved and more and more people are living to tell of their experiences and contribute to ongoing research. I am now one of those people. My diagnosis in January 2019 was a shock, but all is going well and the tumour removed and I’m cancer free. Because of the tests available i will not have chemotherapy which is a blessing for me and those close to me. This would not be possible without the continued contributions to fund new and innovative ways to treat us. A significant number of the population will be touched in some way by Cancer, but we can be thankful for progress in treatment and ongoing research. If you can make any donation, Thank you, if you can't then please just know your body and speak to the experts if any changes occur, i did and I'm eternally grateful to all those helping with my treatment.
