Story
On December 11th 2017 my mum got the phone call I never wanted her to get. My best friend the one who I could always count on had sadly passed away. I then had the job of telling my other best friend she had died, the worst and most difficult day of my life. We had lost our third to our trio, a day which has changed our lives ever since. Please find below our individual stories, memories and good times we shared with our best friend. Katie's Story 11. The number 11 brings a whole load of pain to me, as the 11th of December was the day I lost my best friend. Rhiannon was always there for me whether it was just to binge 'Netflix' together or to play 'cards against humanity'. I never knew how much she suffered, but the doctors did, unfortunately there was nothing else they could do - research had not gone that far yet. She had this aroma of confidence that made you feel confident too, she didn't care what people thought of her. We never spoke about her being ill unless she bought it up, we just had fun and made memories together. She laughed, she smiled and she fought. No matter what she was going through she always had your back. She was definitely the mother hen of the group and since then Katie and I have struggled to navigate our way through life without our third part to our trio. Things have never been the same but we are trying to adjust. Please donate whatever you can, however large or small to help fund more research and help others like our best friend in need of help, support and care. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Please help to make a difference. One ever lasting story we all shared together was one day when Katie and Rhi were coming to my house for a pig out and make-up sesh. Rhi had no way of getting to my house so she took her brothers bike, bearing in mind she was not very good at riding a bike. I then heard a knock at the door and the first thing she said was 'I'm sweaty and need water' and with that we all burst into fits of laughter. Rhi being Rhi then pulled out a full on frozen pizza from her bag and asked my mum to cook it. She was always there and normally with food. She was our best friend and will forever be in our memories. Thank you for taking the time to read this and donating whatever you can.
