Story
In January 2016 at the age of 36 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Naively I thought cancer was something that happened to other people but if it can happen to me it can happen to anyone. This diagnosis rocked myself, family and friends to our core. Today after major surgery and 6 months of gruelling chemotherapy I am doing well and recent scans have been clear. Like any difficult experience, there can be some good that can come from it. It reaffirmed what amazing friends and family I have and nothing is taken for granted anymore. Trivial problems do not exist and I met some wonderful people on the way. So it's my turn to give something back. Without research, cancer treatments cannot develop further and this requires funding. No matter how little your donation every bit counts and will be greatly appreciated. Cancer is the lottery no one wants to win so let's make sure the very best research and treatments continue to be made available, so one day everyone beats this horrible disease.
