We're raising as much as we can to beat cancer

Story
My amazing sister has recently been diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare type of Bile Duct Cancer. In England, around 2,800 people are diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma each year and data has shown that the incidence and mortality rates have been increasing. In 2019 cholangiocarcinoma was the cause of 2,754 deaths in England alone. Cholangiocarcinoma/bile duct cancer is considered rare but is the second most common primary liver cancer. It is difficult to diagnose accurately and early, so by the time of diagnosis it is often too advanced for surgery – which is currently the only potential cure. We know first hand that cancer is hard to deal with for the person diagnosed, and their family and friends. For those supporting a loved one with cancer, feelings of helplessness are overwhelming which is why me, my mum and dad are taking part in the Pretty Muddy Event on the 29th June. Any donations and support would be hugely appreciated, in the hopes of finding more treatment options for this awful disease.
