Story
My story started in 2014 when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Many surgeries and chemotherapy followed and by 2016 I thought I was in the clear. It wasn’t to be, in September 2017 I was told that the cancer had returned and had spread to my bones and liver and that I was now at stage 4, incurable but hopefully manageable. So, here I am 2 years after my last 5k race for life (in which I broke my ankle), poised and ready to shuffle my way around another race for life. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
