Story
I currently have a breast Cancer diagnosis. Since October I haeve received chemotherapy, surgery including reconstruction, and I am currently awaiting radiotherapy. Without research into cancer, my prognosis would not be as favourable. So I'm walking Race for life to raise money for research. I also want the research to improve cancer treatments, because the side effects of treatment are nasty, and the more research they do the better treatment will be. My third reason for walking (probably slowly) race for life is a personal target to achieve something useful and give back because Cancer is happening right now, and anything we can do to slow it down or stop it in its tracks, is amazing. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
