Story
As you may well be aware, it has been a difficult few years for our family. This year will be particularly challenging as we will be running the race for life knowing that our dad will not be at the finish line, or there to share a celebratory drink with us. Heartbreakingly, dad lost his fight to Cancer on Christmas Eve,2018. Throughout his battle he always remained positive, brave and a true hero. An inspiration to us all. Losing him has left a void in our lives which cannot be filled. He is forever in our thoughts and hearts and the primary motivation for us to continue fighting this battle in his honour. Devastatingly, in September 2018, our gorgeous nanny also lost her fight to lymphoma. She had zest for life, a heart of gold and was another irreplaceable figure taken from us far too soon. Cancer is an evil disease that devastates the lives of anyone it encounters. In April 2018, our brave mum was given the diagnosis that we all feared. Thankfully, after two major operations and the innovative discoveries made by Cancer Research UK, she fought her battle and won. Her journey provides living proof and hope that we can BEAT Cancer. This year, we would like to smash our target out of the park. Please join us in raising money, awareness and hope, that one day we will find a cure. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Together, we can beat Cancer.
