Purple Podengos

We did the Race 4 Life in memory of our lovely friend Jacqui.

Story

We are running in memory of our dear friend Jacqui Catcheside. Jacqui had gallbladder cancer and died in March, weeks after receiving the diagnosis. We desperately miss her - there is a big Jacqui-shaped hole in our lives. Not many people know about gallbladder cancer, it is very rare and often not diagnosed until it is too late to treat. We want to raise money to help Cancer Research find a way to detect and diagnose this disease early. We will be running with Saffy the dog (a Portuguese Podengo!) - Jacqui loved walking with her and we do believe that there is a "Saffy" character in one of her books...And we will all (dog included) be wearing purple - Jacqui's favourite colour. PLEASE HELP US RAISE LOTS OF MONEY!!!
