Story
I did my first race for life 7 years ago after being told that my mum had cancer for the second time. Although it was removed successfully first time round We were told that this time, this particular cancer was much more aggressive and she wouldn't have long, but after 2nd opinions, surgeries and putting up an incredible fight although she is still terminal, she has been able to watch me and her boys grow up and has met all her grandchildren and been able to watch them grow too. I'm so grateful I've still had my Mum for a few more years. And I hope she knows how proud of her I am of her. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
