Thank you for taking the time to read our story and our fight against cancer. Each of the NW London Team have lost loved ones to cancer and we have witnessed the devastating effects of this disease both on the sufferer and their families. It is a disease which is indiscriminate in that it has taken the lives of our loved ones whether they are young or old. We have been training together for this walk for some months now and we have had the chance to discuss and consider the impact cancer has had on us and those around us. Although it is saddening to hear about some of the stories of suffering, it has also been inspiring to hear the tales of how these people fought valiantly against this disease and the positive legacy they have left behind in the lessons that they have taught us and other loved ones. This walk means a lot to our team. It is a walk in memory of all of our loved ones who lost their lives to cancer and also a walk to raise funding and awareness to help in the research to fight cancer. We are grateful for the time we have had with our loved ones and want to do our little bit to help ensure that their positive legacy continues. We think that this is best achieved if though more research cancer can be beaten back so that others do not have their time with their loved ones cut short by this terrible disease.
