Story
Plymouth High School for Girls is an incredible school with a close, dedicated staff team and a wonderful student body. We were devastated to see Julie one of our amazing colleagues struggling with cancer throughout lockdown and were heartbroken when she lost her battle earlier this year. Julie was the life and soul of the kitchen team and always had a smile and a very loud(!) contribution to make to any conversation. She took the time to know everyone and was an absolute gem. We miss her dearly. We have been running a variety of events this year to fundraise in her memory, from wear it pink mufti days and raffles to sponge the teacher events and sporting challenges. We have so far raised over £2000 and would love to add more to the total to show what she meant to us all. This is our latest challenge and we are hoping to have a big team of staff and students walking, jogging and running the 5k Race for Life for Cancer Research in October along with their families and friends. If you feel able to support us with this cause then we would be very grateful. No amount is too small as it all makes a difference and we thank you for taking the time to read our story.
