Hello and thank you for visiting our fundraising page. As most of you know, our much loved and gorgeous husband, dad, uncle, and brother Mark died from cancer two years ago. In his memory and to do something positive and pro-active to support all those who have experienced this awful disease in some way, we have decided to take part in the Race for Life, each of us in the team challenging ourselves in our own way. During our life in Devon, Mark participated in many charity challenges and half marathons and so, on a much smaller scale, and at a much slower pace, we are taking on this challenge to help raise as much as possible. Cancer Research's groundbreaking work is enabling us to make massive steps forward in beating this disease through prevention, early diagnosis and optimising and developing new treatments. Mark benefited from some of this work by receiving a range of treatments and in the future, treatment will become much more personalised so increasing survival rates.
