Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. Cancer took my Mum in 2002, 16 years later my step mum was diagnosed too, having seen what it did to Dad that first time, he himself going through prostrate treatment and beating it, we thought that was our quota of the big C. Thankfully my step mum was able to ring the bell on 22 March this year, something I wish my Mum could have done, so this year I’m doing the race for life at Scarborough, and as a man, I’m going to hold my head proud as I do this for everyone who has lost someone near and dear to this disease, man or woman, cancer doesn’t discriminate.
