Throughout the last year, everyone has been effected differently by covid-19 but the research going forward for cancer treatments has been slowed down massively. My friends and I want to do our part in raising money to help them continue the research to beat cancer. Here are our stories: Amy H - I’m racing for life in memory of my Auntie Sara, who was the strongest woman I will ever know. She was first diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and fought cancer for numerous years after, never giving up. Throughout the years, her courage inspired and amazed me every day and I am so happy I can raise money for a charity so close to home, I know she would be proud. I am also racing for my grandad, who has beaten cancer. Both members of my family are a massive inspiration to me and have shown me that every challenge is worth fighting. Lianna - I have decided to do the race for life this year as i have members in my family who have passed from cancer but also some who have gone into remission and beat it. I love being able to be a part of something that is helping come closer to beating cancer everyday. Elena - I’m doing the race for life to support all friends and families that have lost someone they love or are fighting cancer to help beat it sooner. Beau - I have decided to participate in the race for life along with many of my close friends. Not only is it so important to raise awareness, but also this charity has such a special place in my families heart as we sadly lost my grandad to cancer last year who fought so hard. I really hope that as a team we are able to do our bit by raising as much money as we can to help beat cancer. Thank you so much for the support and donations. Eadie - I personally am racing for my amazing Uncle Fludie, one of the kindest people in my life, he has always had my back and is there for everyone around him, so now it’s time for me to do my bit for him and others!
