Cancer, we hate you! Over the past few years, my family and families that we hold dear to us have devastatingly lost loved ones to this cruel and unforgiving disease, whilst others we know, are still fighting their battle. Enough is enough. We need more success stories, earlier diagnoses and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I will be running the Race for Life 5k with my Mum in Liverpool on 7th July 2019 and the Pretty Muddy 10k in Edinburgh on 14th September 2019 with my friend, Manon. As someone who can barely run a bath, this will be a challenge for me, but nothing compared to the challenges faced by those dealing with the effects of cancer. Most recently, we sadly lost our wonderful Pam. My Mum’s best friend, Charlie’s lovely wife and amazing mum to my two friends, Stuart and George. She was so loved and will be so missed by everyone who knew her. So, this one is for you guys. Let’s kick cancer’s ass!
