Story
I have completed the race for life twice before but this time it is so very different for me. I always wanted to run in the past to support others who had been touched by this dreadful disease and raise some money in hope that less people would suffer in the future. I never in a million years thought it would touch my fit, healthy agile father. Within 3 weeks my dad went from being fine and what we thought was full health,along with being a full time carer to his wife to being bedridden most of the time, sicker than I have ever seen him and a shadow of his former self. At 78 years old my dad has a big battle on his hands to get out of pain and get this cancer to be manageable. I cannot take away the pain for him but I hope raising money for him and others to fight this disease will help in some way. I pray for better times for my dad and all the other people out there suffering. I hope you sponsor me and help the tough battle.
