Story
I am raising money in memory of my brother Brian. He was diagnosed with Bowel cancer. When they found the cancer it was already in his liver, within a week it was also found in his spine. He had 3 chemo sessions and 1 radiotherapy when he was told it wasn't working. My brother was then given 1 - 3 months - he died 10 days later, a few weeks before his 40th. He died within 3 months of the diagnosis. My brother was colour blind so wasn't able to check for blood. He was young, so doctors would never have thought to check him for cancer as testing age for Colon cancer is 50. More people are dying under the age of 50 and hope one day they will lower the testing age. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
