1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. That’s a scary, inescapable fact.
As members of a large immediate family, and a wider family that’s getting impossible to keep track of and will only grow, these numbers become frightening.
To date, we’ve lost two beloved members of our family to cancer; our grandfather, Robert, and cousin, Joseph.
Our father, Paul, has just come through the other side of 6 months of chemo with an inspiring amount of strength, determination and most importantly and insane amount of positivity. However the doctors have informed us it will return, likely more severe.
The last 6 months have been hard on us all in different ways, but as a family we have come out the other end together, stronger, and closer, and we’d like to give back.
Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years due to research and improvements however there is still so much more work to be done
As a group, called the “Mud Hatters”, we are going to take on the Cardiff Pretty Muddy on 6th July, 2019 to give back, and to fund future research efforts. You’ve arrived on this link as family or friend of us Keenors, and we would like to encourage you to give generously. Not just for what we’ve been through, but to help future generations of all families to see better cancer survival rates.
Now, to our Mothers despair, let’s get muddy!
