Story
Cancer is a far too prevalent disease that has affected the Mark Vitow Family in ways that are identifiable for so many other families. Brandon Vitow (Director and Founder along with his father Mark Vitow) lost his first wife and the mother of his two children, Holly and Joel, to Breast Cancer. Bryony Vitow was in her mid-30s when she lost her battle with cancer and Brandon had to navigate life as a bereaved single father to Holly Vitow who was 5 years old and Joel Vitow who was 2 years old, as they too tried to cope with losing their Mother. At this time, Brandon had only recently founded a business with his father Mark. In spite of these most challenging circumstances, Brandon succeeded in growing Mark Vitow Ltd and later met his wife and fellow Director Melanie Vitow, who was instrumental in the continued growth of the Company. Two of their children, Matthew Phillips (Chief Executive Officer) and Rachel Pead (Operations Director) work for Mark Vitow Ltd today. Matthew himself had to fight cancer at the age of 20 whilst studying Economics at Bristol University, but with strength and courage he obtained a First-Class Economics Degree whilst recovering from treatment and restoring his health. Others in the wider Mark Vitow family have too been affected by or lost a loved one to Cancer. We champion Cancer Research UK in the hope that, through continued research, together we will beat Cancer. As a partner of CRUK, Mark Vitow Ltd are taking part in the Francis Crick Abseil to help raise money for this cause close to our hearts. Please wish us luck and sponsor us if you can!
