Story
Despite the chaos the world is currently going through in the wake of COVID-19, cancer doesn't stop, it is still affecting people every day. Therefore, we will be taking part in the Race for Life at Home on 24th April 2021. We are aiming to raise £50 each. Why Cancer Research UK? Our Grandma was diagnosed with lung cancer and sadly passed away in 2010. Since this our mother has survived breast cancer, our cousin has survived cervical cancer and unfortunately I lost our grandfather to cancer. We have also had several friends who have both won and lost their battles. Each of these experiences has spurred us on do our bit. The money raised from taking part in this event will help more people like our family and friends to survive this awful disease. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
