We're raising as much as we can to beat cancer

Story

Each and every one of Lorraine's Lovelies have been touched by cancer in one way or another. Here are 'Our Stories' and reasons for wanting to take part in this brilliant event. Michelle - I’d like to do it in Honour of Julie. I think it shows how much cancer research has done over the years as she unfortunately lost her battle, her nephew got the same cancer and is now cancer free. Xx Tracy - I would like to do this for my dad who passed away with prostrate cancer xx Karen - I'd like do this for my lovely dad, who struggled with prostrate cancer for many years. He always tried to stay positive even the days when he was in so much pain. Like Michelle said research has improved so much since then 🥰🥰xx Trish - For me, this is about bringing us all together again and making new friendships. Whilst there are sadly so many of my family and friends that have been lost to this awful disease, I’ll be specifically remembering my very special Auntie Bridget. ❤️Hoping the money we raise contributes to getting rid of it once and for all 🥰. Lorraine - 2 years ago I lost my dad to cancer. We found out 4 months before he passed away. The whole time he was optimistic about fighting the cancer but unfortunately he was not strong enough. I'm doing the Race for Life to raise money, so that more people recover and live long and happy lives. Annette and Sharon - Sharon & I are participating in the Race for Life in fond memory of my son-in-law Paul Cunningham who sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer in February 2019.
