Story
If you know us well, you know we don’t run. Even if something was chasing us, we’d probably resign ourselves to fate rather than pick up a pace. Doing a 5k obstacle course is not our idea of fun! But here we are, signed up for Pretty Muddy - for Mum. If needs be we’d climb mountains for her, she’s climbed a couple already these past few weeks and has a few more to go yet. 4 weeks ago in a very stuffy small room with pealing paint and an empty can of Coke Zero on a desk a nice man sat down and brushed over the suspected cause of Mums symptoms was Lymphoma. He seemed more concerned with the immediate effects of her kidneys, which weren’t working properly and that she couldn’t breathe a full breath, the Cancer comment was just a pinch of information. As we’d discussed it in the corridor afterwards, we had to check - that doctor did actually says he thinks Mum had cancer, right? Mum just took it on the chin, put her best foot forward and has been an absolute solider ever since. Not once has she complained. There is no cure for the type of cancer Mum has, but they can treat her. Maybe one day, there will be a cure. That is only possible because of the continuous research by charity’s like Cancer Research. Please give us a few quid if you can, or join us if you’d rather. Thank you x
